I do like the Proud Rhino / lucky 8 ladder. Anyone know what clearance is required to mount the lucky 8 ladder?

@DPReef - I have the Proud Rhino ladder. It actually mounts under the Expedition (JLR) roof rack not above it. So it doesn't add any incremental height. Also, it extends back (towards the rear) less than the spare so you should be covered within both dimensions.

yep, the question is though is if the voyager is now high enough up to fit the lucky 8 ladder under it, into the rails, like it fits under the oem rack

They couldn't have been more helpful and educated me that previously released Thule fit kits are being used for the new Defender in both Europe and South Africa. Below is what you need which I was able to find at online stores or on Ebay. I did mine in all black to match the roof (see pic) and it looks much better (and lower profile) than the OEM dealer option. As important, I am experiencing almost no wind noise. Hope this helps everyone.

Looks awesome! How high is this from the roof rails? Thinking of doing the same set up. Thanks!

Front runner roof rack with lucky8 ladder setup.

Went with the Full Front Runner rack and Luck8 rear ladder.

I think car is now 6’8”. Regular height.

Do you know what modifications are needed to mount the Lucky8 Ladder with the Front Runner Rack? Seen it done a few times, but not a ton of detail around how.

DM me on Instagram. Can send some more specific images.

show what they cut / welded. As Galpin went to a third part shop to re-coat and adjust the connection.
