Out of curiosity from this post I got a Carmax appraisal on my 110SE. Their offer came in at $9000 over MSRP.

Pretty insane really... Never imagined a non-limited edition car would appreciate immediately after driving it off the lot, but here we are.

They are all LR genuine parts.

For some reason my local Carmax will not provide an online offer or estimate - it says the car is too "rare"? so need to bring it there for appraisal.
I had to physically take mine as well, was also told it was "too rare". I had only added mud flaps and I doubt those contributed to the value. I took off my Thule rack before I sold it. When I did a Vroom appraisal, it did have an option for various accessory packs (Country, Adventure, etc.), but again not sure how much they factor that in to value.

Most of the time you aren't going to see any additional value out of accessories unless you're selling yourself to a private party. Dealers and companies like Carmax generally just price the value of the car as it comes stock. If the expedition pack or something similar is listed on the Monroney sticker and included in the MSRP, then I could see that being included. Anything added after sale is almost always excluded.

All LR's seem to be "too rare". Have a '21 RRS that I'm trying to sell and that said the same.

Just sold mine to Carmax. Appreciate all of the advice given above regarding removing parts not on the window sticker - they had no process to account for them and add that value into the deal. So took off rack and the seat covers and some other stuff. Was in and out in 25 mins with check that was more than double what the dealer offered. Couldn't be happier. Will miss the Defender but was only going to own it a few years anyway so moving on to something more long term.

BTW - if anyone wants to buy the OEM roof rack I removed let me know - its 6 months old and literally never had anything mounted to it so basically new.
