Default TPMS Issues

Hello all,

I recently installed new tires and wheels to my Defender 90. I had the tire shop take the old TPMS sensors out of my factory wheels and put them into my new ones. The first 24 hours were great but now the vehicle has lost all connection to the tires. Has anyone had any issues with changing wheels on their defenders? Also I find it quite strange there is not a TPMS reset I can find on the vehicle. My current Hypothesis is that the shop did not actually transfer the TPMS sensors but today they are sadly closed. I will be contacting them in the morning and will keep you posted.

Update: The sensors were actually swaped over. For some reason the hand scanner can pick up the passenger side sensors but not the drivers side. Dealer says there isn't a way to reset the TPMS system besides driving. Has anyone experienced any issues going from a 19" wheel to a 18"?

Love the wheel set up. Gotta ask the obligatory questions: what size tire? If I move to 18's, those rims are on my short list.

I ended up going with 275/65R18's On the Yokohomas it ended up being 32.6 or 32.4" with the tread and they are wider than stock. I will say they definitely have the MT roar but I kinda like it.

Update, TPMS sensors are not being picked up by the dealer or tire shop with the tires installed. After digging I have reason to believe Land Rover swaped the TPMS sensors in production due chip shortages. The TPMS sensors do not look like the ones that came on the prior to 22 models. They seem much smaller and also do not have metal valve stems. I am getting a new set of TPMS sensors from Land Rover to see if this resolves the issue. I have included a schematic of the factor TPMS sensors vs. a stock picture of what came on the Defender. I will keep y'all updated on the process and hope no one else has experienced this issue.

After further investigation I have found the sensor can be picked up out side of the vehicle but not in the wheels. I have also found that 22+ defender models have changed the TPMS sensors and Frequency. Sadly since there are so few around I have only been able to find a single article in Russian. Feel free to read below. I'm going to continue to try and resolve the issue but it seems like the new sensors don't work on the Redbourne Alston wheels.

Update. With the latest Pivi Pro Update (3.0) all sensors are reading normally and functioning again.

Still having the issue and have tried everything. Is anyone with the Alston wheels having this issue? Every dealer and shop is claiming it's the wheels.

I've got 20" Alstons and initially had problems with the sensors talking to the vehicle. My issue was the sensors were sold to me in "shipping/sleep" mode and they needed to be switched to "park" mode by using a high end TPMS service tool. Since then no issues, though it has only been 3 months.
