@dj200 - LOVE that pic. Nice Defender. I like the wheels a lot. Well done there. I thought the Redbourne's didn't need spacers. Did you go that way for looks or were you getting rub with the 285's? Those are some WIDE tires for the Defenders.
Just minor rubbing at full wheel lock in normal height (with 1.5” lift) - not an issue.

XPEL wrap / painted calipers
Hi All.... saw this thread and wanted to chime in as I too am contemplating going thru the process of adding XPEL stealth to my 2021 X110 P400 HSE. Currently Santorini Black (which has the green & purple fleck). I opting to go at it a little differently (in part) than those I see here. Hard choice as so many of these have some really good looks/comments/suggestions etc... so here is what I am embarking on - I dropped the truck off yesterday but just got my quote and have to decide. Seems in line from what I am reading... just more than I anticipated - especially if I sell it
situation: I know I have a great installer on this, one of the best - DFW Clear Bra (the ORIGINAL GUY - NOT the yahoo's that registered his business name for their own use - shame on them!!!) Chris Gaisbauer. He did a G for me and was awesome. I plan on protecting the Gloss paint with clear on the entire hood; fenders; rockers - wrapping behind around to the rear bumper. also the A pillars and lead edge of roof line to the sun roof. I plan on wrapping with black matt on the front grill area including the upper crossbar with oval logo - (here is where it gets dicey) and the pewter plastic lower 1/3 area - the one with the honeycomb non-functioning holes... in black mat as well. I will not be punching holes in it as it is not necessary and no template exists and Chris said he could do it but be prepared to dig deep. So we are laying it over - it should take on a 2D look (ala plastic grate looking step plates on hood (cheesy material if you ask me ) if it doesn't look good no harm - off it comes. Then more black mat on the side mirrors and then also on the rear pewter looking rear bumper - all black and I think will tie well into the rear tire cover. My Brakes came in from the factory with two different colors - med silver (front) and light silver (rear) what the heck?????? and the dealer passed the buck. So I went ahead & powered coated the Calipers in LR Green last week and will do the same with the tow hooks this week.
I also plan on changing the tires to a wider version of Continentals or? maybe 305x45x22? I would love to know how I can achieve this or what troubles I will run into squeezing those in. Maybe I have to switch rims with bigger offset or spacers? (don't want to mess it up) Although I have taken it off the "driveway" and thru the slush the last Dallas Snow storm - this is an around town/highway truck when I use it.
I love this forum and all your opinions & help!!!!! - its a BIG help and hope I can do the same for all interested too. I will post pics soon.
