It was worth the drive just for Big G’s!
So the trails were awesome today had a blast out there so many awesome Rovers, and a great time catching up with old friends. Also made a few dozen new ones. The Rover community is awesome on forums like this but in person you realize this only scratches the surface of the family that is Land Rover.

It was fantastic on Saturday morning the snow had a bit of layered ice on top that made some sections pretty special. It did make for some really good wheeling. The Saturday night bar crawl was really good but unfortunately really signals the end of Romp for me as I have to start the trek home.
I have seen a tracked series rove most every year but didn’t see him out and about this year.

My google assistant apparently got bored while I was driving home and took it upon itself to make a video of some of my photos and clips so here you go the instagram users.

Once again it was an amazing event. It was probably one of the best Romp’s I have been to in years. The trails were all marked and labeled there was mapping you could view along with directions of travel. So the typical log jams were avoided and it showed in the wheeling.
Bruce Fowler has been the man putting this on for the community since 1987 and is a pillar of the rover community. A big thank you to him and his family probably the most gracious hosts in the free world.
The Waterville Grand Hotel’s staff really shined and the added bonus of a complimentary hot breakfast was amazing. I know all hotels offer that, but not what they are offering for accommodations and eats for $55 a night.
The limo to take us around to bars on Saturday night was fantastic and made sure we got around safely.
The amount of money raised for Habitat for Humanity was sizeable the fun and comradary could not be matched. My hotel reservation is already made for next year and a dinner reservation for 15. Romp 2020!
