Bypassing the 4in sub? goood idea or stupid idea?
 

I'm having a issue with my amp not wanting to play nice, would it be possible to bypass the stock 4in subs, and feed the wire straight into the 1 10in sub itself?

The rear speakers are famous for rotting in place.

Yeah, the rear speakers have seen better days... Would it be possible for me to rip the wires off the the rear OEM speakers and just wire the one 10in kicker, or will that put to much of a load on the wires? If yes, would a 6in sub out less strain on said wires? Don't want to have my rover burn down in the high school parking lot :eek:...
