CD Changer and burned CDs

Hello, I have a 1996 RR with the stock head unit. The CD changer (Clarion) does not work so I was going tobuy anotherone. Will the stockCD changer play CDs that I burn on my computer? If not, can I wire in any CD changer and just cut/splice the factory wire going to the changer?

I think the stock CD changer will work as long as its not mp3 files.
