harness conversion kit actually work?
stock stereo sounds beat.....2000 disco 11 with alpine deck.
have read and read but really can't seem to find if one of these plugs actually works with a new head unit while using original amp and speakers.

I had to replace it and its easy to hook up. Not listening to my country was killing me.

Does that plug work on a 97 discovery?

According to the website that is the correct but also that was the one listed for my vehicle a 98 disco 1.
Upon opening mine it was wrong and its actually this one on the following link below. You might want to open yours up and check for yourself.
The picture I provide here is the one that the website said would fit mine and when I received it, it didn't fit. So this one on the picture is the WRONG one.

OK I will try to reexplain what I did.
I have learned that "just because the internet doesn't mean its true" is in fact a fact. When I needed to put a stereo I searched online and it gave me the harness that you got. So I bought it because "that's what it said on the internet would fit".
I received it and it was a wrong one and did not fit.
So I searched and got the one on Amazon (link I posted) and that one did fit even though it says 99-04 and yes it fit perfectly on my 98. That is the only reason I am trying to tell you that I am just trying to save you time and money.
I still have the one that didn't fit and that the "internet said was the one" here at home. It doesn't work on my disco and I'm sure it wont on yours but I could just sell it to you and ship it to you.
