Want to say I saw it mounted in front of the radiator. Remove the grill and you'll see it attached to the panel along the bottom of the radiator. I'm not sure if you can get at it from underneath, believe there is a plastic piece in the way...unless you get the swaybar dropped down some.

All vehicles are different, but on some...be sure to pull the SRS fuse and/or battery terminals, and let the system de-energize for a few minutes. You should be able to find the exact procedure online for the Discovery. You have two power distribution centers on the Dll, one under the steering wheel...behind removable panel and the other out under the hood...next to anti-freeze reservoir. I believe the SRS fuse is under the hood, but it's been awhile since I've been in there...so...working off memory here.

Disclaimer...I've worked on so many different vehicles over the years that I can not remember the location of each part on each vehicle...so this information may or may not be correct.

Brian.

While we're not on the topic of exhaust...
Does anyone make headers for a Disco II? I've got a small leak that makes noise when I first start up and goes away after it's run for a few minutes. Thinking about redoing everything once I get into it. Would like to open it up with headers, and maybe Magnaflow catalytic converter and muffler. Anyone done this? Any suggestions?

Was just looking at a topic in the Dll tech forum, where Alex_M installed a extra trans cooler and I noticed he had headers on his rig...and he has a Borla sticker in the window...so maybe send him a PM.

i think some have used headman headers built for the actual Buick engine and modified the y pipe and cats. I think Alex_m has to Borla exhaust if I remember him recommending that to me when I had exhaust questions. Looking good though man!!!

Default Salvage Yard Score!

Found a ladder and taillight grills at a local salvage yard. Need to blast the ladder and repaint, but the grills are almost brand new. Got 'um for next to nothing! Pretty happy with myself right now.

Stripped the ladder, primed it, sprayed it with bedliner last night.

Don't know if it matters to you, but if you don't want the ladder ( bedliner ) to fade spray it with some satin black or satin clear paint. The paint will stand up to UV much better.

Anybody know if there's a better deal out there on this?

Have at it>>> https://www.tunersports.com/magnaflow-direct-fit-catalytic-converter-93689_p50198.html

Just add the part to The Cart and you get the lower price.

If you want to go with Summit Racing, they will match that price no worries, just call and ask> https://www.summitracing.com/parts/mpe-93689
