I ran across this today and if I knew exactly what that flat bed was off of and how they modified the cab I’d actually go for that setup. Cleanest D1/D2 Pickup I’ve seen so far.

Wow! That is a clean looking conversion. I would be interested in hearing more about it.

Yeah I wish I could find out more about it!

Had to replace the power steering pump on Old Faithful today. I noticed during the cold weather I had next to nothing for power assist. Over the weekend my wife & I celebrated our 7th Anniversary and I took Old Faithful. It started off with power steering & then it just went pretty much rock hard on the way home. Well the engine I got for my 04 had all it's accessories still on it so I figured it's got to be better than what my pump was doing (never made a sound or anything) just barely anything for power assist.

It was a little bit more of a PITA as Old Faithful has ACE, but I eventually got it swapped out, and BINGO power steering once again. It is seeping a wee bit at the High Pressure Line (it was before), and it really looks weird not to have an O-ring on it. I even went out to my 03 parts truck and checked and no o-ring either.

Not a bad life for the OEM 19 year old power steering pump!

I also added some LED cube lights behind the ARB Bumper and have them criss crossed to light up in front of each front tire. If it doesn't help while off-roading in the dark I can always aim them forward as Fog Lights.

Finally a night pic

Ha!! I was going to do this with my fog lights (was thinking of making a mount that you can swivel up and down) after replacing the stock bumper with a steel one.

The swivel would be locked so they would be right under the bumper and pointed forward during normal operation and then swivel up so they point straight down as needed.

Small leds in the tops of the wheel wells, top of shocks area work great for night time 4 wheelin.

They might also come in handy for trail repairs lol. I made absolutely sure the light source itself can not be seen from the front or the side. They are tucked neatly out of the way. That is what a rock light is supposed to be vs the stuff I just saw at the new 4WP in Beaumont, TX Grand Opening where it was purple, blue, green, red, and god help us pink lights under a Jeep.

Are those city lights in the main light housings? :dunno:

Best4x4 02-20-2018 07:50 AM

Yes to take the pic I only had the parking lights on, so the 194 LED’s were the only things on in the headlight housing.
