As I progress in this build I learn that plans don't always go quit as planned. Originally I was just gonna get the head gaskets done and have my mechanic diagnosis my engine ticking and get his opinion if my block would make the trip to Alaska. K had a few other small things I wanted to do as well like the cooling system and things like that. I estimated that I would be able to get all that done and still have enough funds left to take a plane back to NH in October and then drive my D2 back to AK. I did not budget for nor did I intend on buying a new $6,500 Turner engine block from Britain..... Here we are haha so although I'll make ejough $$$$ to get most all the parts plus the block, Im now short on cash for the cost of labour and for the trip up here. So I've decided to stay up here longer and work another fish season to cover the remaining costs. So my mechanic and I are gonna go for the Spring and see what happens. Sucks but patience is something I'm learning.

Engine is on hold roughly 2 hours south of the delivery destination and Im ****ing PISSED! Engine and shipping was all paid and everything went smoothly. Shipping from the UK to the states was very fast but when it arrived in Boston Mass it was held up and I was contacted and told that I would need to pay an additional fee of $177 before my shipment can be delivered. Alas I did not budget for any extra fees with my previous paycheck so I have to wait another week or so to pay the dam fee.

On another note Im almost ready to make a couple big purchases on parts and things for my truck. Im still stumped on the jerry can holders and Im sure many of you know how picky and particular I am. Took me a long *** time to find 16" wheels that I liked. So Im reaching out for help trying to find a vender or person who has any info on where I can order this unique dual jerry can holder. its by far the best looking holder Ive seen yet but the website/business has not responded to my emails so I assume they went out of business or something.

You tried calling Mojave?
What's this other fee and to whom is it owed?

The engine block shipment was shipped via DHL Express and to my understanding is either being held at a customs warehouse or a DHL facility. DHL is the one charger me the last minute fee. I will pay it this week when I get paid so then engine should arrive at my mechanics shop either Saturday or Monday.

Follow up about the Mojave dual Jerry can carrier. This unit is called phoenix MCU-1 jerry can carrier. I called the number on the Mojave website and learned that they went out of business but some element of the company was bought and now specializes in ATV parts or something to that effect. So I guess the phoenix MCU-1 jerry can carrier is no longer in production and the only way to obtain one is to buy a used one privately if you can find them... I guess Ill have to settle with Front Runner: Front Runner Universal Dual Jerry Can Holder

Exclamation Turner Block finally arrived at the shop!

Words cannot explain how happy I feel right now.... but unfortunately the block wont be fitted until the Spring. My mechanic and I came to that agreement in part because Im going to be accepting a second contract up here in AK that will postpone my return to NH for at least another 3 months, maybe longer. My mechanic has been so awesome, very supportive and patient and willing to help me out. I asked him to take afew pictures today of the package...

the $177 is probably an import tax.
question for you: your warranty did it start when it was shipped?

Haven't heard much on this build lately...but my assumption would be the warranty starts when the motor ships...
