Went on a mini road trip with the Mrs. today -- i think my front wheel bearings are shot. I was getting a grumble from the front, thought it was the driveshaft so i replaced that -- Nothing changed really. Seems to be right at 55-60mph, don't notice it any other time. So its either unbalanced wheels or the hubs -- but vibrations when away when turning at speed so its gotta be hubs.. Which means i have to put off on installing the front brakes until this gets fixed.
Bleh These seem to keep popping up in searches but i dunno :dunno: But while searching on Amazon, I also found these for ~$30 less Both have same PN of TAY100060? Thoughts? |

Sweet, thank you for sharing that! I just read through and seems simple enough :dunno:
No obvious signs of where the water is coming in and i can't tell if the the drains on the F/R sunroofs have been fixed prior or not but they aren't clogged at all :dunno: https://i.imgur.com/tp11PlU.jpg https://i.imgur.com/dVC2z3K.jpg Also figured out how all of that extra wiring was run -- you can sorta see the extra pair of bundled wires in this pic. Both run up the passenger A pillar and then the bundle that has speaker wire in crosses in the middle while the other stays on the passenger side -- both running back to the rear D pillars. Probably will use this wiring for rear work lights or something of that nature :dunno: https://i.imgur.com/mW8y3Uo.jpg Check the seals around the Alpine windows they are known to leak as well |
I’ll be sure to do that! I guess it would be wise of me to just get some caulk and goto town while the headliner is out :dunno: |
Still be looking for new hubs.. Saw these on ebay with a 10 year warranty -- asked the seller if oversized tires would void said warranty :dunno:
Ebay Hubs Going to the yard today to get some small bits that broke while taking out the headliner along with a wiper motor pig tail since they are apparently the same as the S12 plug on the interior fuse panel -- might come in handy. Alex M's Post with a response about S12 Ordered some terminal strips so that i can get things ready for future electrical installations, might as well use the wires that have already been run through out the truck for something useful. Right now i have 5 pairs of wires running from the engine bay back to the rear of the truck -- 4 household light cords and a pair of speaker wires. Not exactly sure how everything was previously wired up but i can't think of anything other than a huge stereo system. Probably just going to put a terminal strip on either side of the truck in the back and have 12v ready to tap for future items. Going to use another terminal strip in the dash for the wiring for the switches for said future electrical devices -- been collecting a lot of cruise control switches! |
My friend was going down the highway and spotted what I believe is you! He said “just spotted a sick disco” looks sick! https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/landrov...28d67d17e.jpeg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/landrov...83465513f.jpeg |
