Well, had fun dealing with this tumbler this AM. My keyless entry has never worked so always just used the key -- no biggie. Yesterday, the key would not turn at all so i had to figure out what was going on. Looks like the locking wafer broke, good thing i snagged a tumbler from the junkyard to pick parts from. The broken bit was lodged and wouldn't allow for any movement. Took everything apart and cleaned it up making sure not to misplace and of the small *** springs. Finally got everything back together along with relubing the assembly -- smooth as butta now!

Wifey asked me to get some eggs this AM and i took the long route
While bumming around, i noticed that the UG was displaying 13.2x volts which wasn't good. It took me a few mins of "wtf" thoughts before i realized that the heated windscreen was turned on. I have always had a huge crack across mine so I know it doesnt work -- i guess when the HVAC is set to auto it'll sometimes auto turn on the HFS. Switched off the HFS and the volts instantly jumped back up to 13.9x which is where the voltage usually hangs out at. Probably going to yank the 2 fuses until i get this damn windshield replaced
ALSO
I installed the extended roof rails yesterday. It was sunny and warm (50's) so i just decided to go for it. Super easy to do.. In theory. All was well until one of the damn studs stripped out in the base of the extended rail. This literally would have been a 30min job tops but it took me close to 1.5 hours. Ended up drilling the hole in the base of the extension rail out a tad more and tapped it out. Luckily had a bolt that was the same size/pitch as the stud but a bit longer -- was able to get things nice and tight.
Now just gotta paint the headliner and i can get everything back together. Still gotta figure out how i want to run aux wiring.. err use the existing aux wiring that the PO had left behind. Bought some terminal strips so probably be installing one of those for 12v power in the rear so that its easy to tie into 12v later down the road for what ever items.
