"leaf juice"

hi all,

after leaving my D1 parked under a tree, i noticed it was covered in leaves. (big surprise) when i took the leaves off there were some orangy-spots, some in the shape of leaves. My father jokingly reffered to this as "leaf juice"...

my first thought was to get out the bug/tar remover but it's so very cold out that cleaning the car is quite hard.

will these stains be in place permanently if i don't wash them off until after the winter?

Depends on the acidity of the substance. Litmus paper it and see.

Not sure why you would be willing to take the risk...go wash your car...that way you won't have to be thinking about it all winter long either.

I know what you are talking about, i have dealt with that stuff, aka honey dew, and all you can really do is scrub it off and wax it.
