oxidation
 
i have these big white place on my paint on the hood and roof. i think it oxidation.and it is spreading.my paint is not faided because if you scrap it with your fingernail, some of it comes off but not alot. yesterday i tried the clay but it didnt work, i have waxing and no luck. is there anything else i can try.

Sounds to me like your clear coat is peeling!! I had this happen on my 530 and there is nothing you can do but get it "repainted". Sorry about the bad news but just my $.02!

If its clearcoat peel (which it sounds like), you'll probably make it worse with a lot of buffing. I think a new paint job is the only choice at this point. I looked at a lot of Rovers before I bought the one I did...a lot of them had the same problem. The one I bought was repainted a year ago because of the clearcoat peeling off / severe oxidation.

Try a detail clay block, if it works, do the whole truck then a good wax job or plan on a paint job soon.

I've got the same issue, like he said, the clay bar wont work for this... I guess we will both have to be in the market for a new paint job...

I'm not sure if there is a way to prevent this from happening in the future, but if anyone does let me know.
