According to my handy dandy amsoil guide...it takes syn atf

The owners handbook lists ATF, however Land Rover released a Technical Service Bulletin stating to switch to MTF (Manual Transmission Fluid).
I run Redline MTL in both of mine.

What do you mean "grabbing at the top"?
Capacity if listed in the owners handbook.

im sure his talking about syncros

antichrist Mar 20, 2011 03:08 PM

Well, I can say from personal experience that the baulk rings (syncros) are happier with MTL.

JumPeR04 Mar 20, 2011 05:22 PM

when you push the pedal it is grabbing at the top not the bottom what i was told

jafir Mar 20, 2011 06:04 PM

Sounds like you are talking clutch, not transmission.

X2 on the Redline MTL. It's good stuff and worth the extra cost. If you haven't been using it, the tranny will behave better after swapping to it.
