I may lose the rack and rood rails at some point in the future and parking garages may be back in the picture but for now the rack kills any chance

Hell at the house in VA. I can't park in the driveway cause of dads carport , I just fit on one side before the tires with roof bows removed, avalanche also just fits

A disco in a garage is definitely a luxury. Thanks for the tip on the bushings, I had thought about it and it makes sense to do. Shocks and springs for sure.

One reason against a lift is tires. The only reason for a lift really is to fit bugger tires. A lifted truck on stock tires will look silly. And new tires will be about another grand.

That said, Discovery's look much better lifted in my opinion.

I could see a lift jib in the future, with tires too.
Right now I am focusing on getting anything still stock that a 165K D1 would need replaced, replaced. I learned earlier the bushings. I was figuring shocks and suspension as anything I roll over including a cigarette but makes the dash rattle. I've been driving this beast for over a decade and wouldn't mind a plusher ride at all. What else could I look at?

Hey that's funny on the seat foam. Are you serious? Have you re-packed your foam?

I found a car with 70k miles that was wrecked and pulled the passenger side foam and put on my Driver seat.

Makes a difference in comfort and height! I was low riding before that.
