That looks cool...id want it..if my ride wasnt an offroaded...
I was thinking of doing the same thing. Was it hard to do?
Not hard. Hardest part is getting the 3 Pieces of trim off the dash. There are 2 nuts behind each piece. So you need to drop the fuse cover panel and reach behind and up to get to the first two. Then drop the glove box and reach behind and up to get to those two. All those are 10mm nuts. The piece by the air controls comes off after you pull off all the knobs (used pliers to get them off easily) and then a screw behind each of the temperature controls. As for the applying of the carbon fiber film, a hair drier and an exacto knife are all you need.
So I need CF film, exacto knife, my aunt's dryer, some pliers, and a 10mm socket?
yep, that's it
About how much?
This is so cool I didn't notice.. I have no wood trim! LOL I don't even know what you did it on! |
Film was $20 for 60" x 12" roll (smallest I could find). Wood trim around temp controls, window controls, 3 pieces on the dash and 1 on the shifter
