Damn Brits..

Having a 99 Disco 1 is effin annoying! All the online and parts stores always show me parts for a Disco 2.. I've learned to say I have a 97 Disco 1 SD. Has anyone had success fitting a different radiator from another similar vehicle on a disco one? I'm talking about getting rid of the ****ty expansion tank setup. Just running a regular radiator setup with the cap on the rad itself. Anyone have dimensions on hand and how many ports are needed for hoses and oil cooler fittings? Looking for a more modern all aluminum 4 core type setup.

I have the same problem getting parts for my 99 RR, have to order parts for a 98 Gems, all the 99 listings are for boshe.

Why don't you say '98 instead

To many options for 98. Anniversary edition shyt...

98 and 99 are exactly the same under the hood regardless of trim level.

I'm all for ingenuity, but the stock cooling system works fine. Mine will run up mountains all day with no issue. It just works. Now if the radiator is clogged, water pump doesn't pump, thermostat broke, or head gasket toast, then that's another issue.

Working fine doesn't work for me. Rad seems to be the weak link in the chain so I'm gonna fix it to my liking. Never had an issue or even heard of a issue with other cooling systems. Rig is already down for maintenance due to head gaskets getting replaced and also freshening up the engine.

IIRC you have a Range Rover (P38), correct? I am pretty sure that 98 & 99 Discovery I's have the exact same engine and electronics.
