Yep. Just the thermostat. It’s the next item on my list. Dont know that i need to but why not, i have it and it couldnt hurt i suppose. I have a few preventative items I would like to replace.

Regarding the original oil filter being screwed on so tight... whomever it was, was probably thinking that screwing it on would stop the drip that appears on the end of the oil filter.

It has to do with the oil pressure relief valve o-ring. When it goes, it leaks and appears on the filter.
