I have the DAP mount. The site isn't great - but those dudes are great on the phone. Had mine ordered and shipped in no time. Mine is holding a 12K promark offroad silverback. The winch and mount together are HEAVY... have a jack handy to help mount!

I can get some pics later today/tomorrow but it's pretty straightforward.

I emailed DAP and they wanted $195+shipping for their discrete mount. Ouch. That's 1/4 of the way to a T4x4 front bumper.

Yeah. If I had any welding capability or skill I'd make one myself, but since I don't I'll just wait and buy a bumper. Wish there was a cheaper option...can't see myself spending more than $100 on it.

I'll take mine off (trashed my winch anyway) this weekend. Maybe I can get my metal buddy to give me a quote on a replica. Honestly, it LOOKS like an easy build; but I'm only a metal music guy.

well I have a brand new 12k winch with the mounting plate and roller sitting here and all I need to do is fab the ends for the frame, i have some 5" angle sitting here and it is heavy enough just want to see how tall their ends are since I would like to reinstal the stock bumper for now and have the winch cable out the bottom, it would save some figurin for if I need a bigger piece of angle iron
