Driver side floor soaked?

My foam mat under the carpet on the driver side of my rig is soaked. It seems like it got wet from underneath instead of through the top carpet. I pulled all the carpet back and remover the foam mat. Seems like most of the water was up near the left side kick panel. What is in this area that could leak? We had a really bad rain storm with high winds that was blowing towards the drivers side. Maybe it blew it trough the door seals? Sunroof maybe?
Thanks,
Jason

I am having the same problem. I did notice my sunroof leaks but the mat was way to wet I'd be shocked if the water is only coming in through the sunroof.

Sunroof drains are one possible, a windshield seal leak is another, heater core is another, previous owner abuse is another.

Pull all that out, you will be amazd hoew many holes there are in the floor that are not even sealed.

Carpets merely hide corrosion, that's why all mine are out.

Anybody want to buy a section of Original LR Discovery Carpet?

Once wet those mats hold a lot of water for a long damn time.

Danny whats your floor look like without the carpets. Also any heat issues after doing this. Some floors get unreal hot after pulling the carpet.

The sunroof drain tubes run through the windshield side panels and can give you a water problem.

You can see them go into the top of each pillar, how far down do they go?

Where is it supposed to drain?

There are also another set of drains that come out underneath the vehicle on both driver & pass sides. I can't remember what they're called, but I was having a similar issue on the passenger side of my non-sunroof Disco and I found a nice post in the archives that showed these drains and suggested clearing them out with a coat hanger. Doing that resolved my issue.

The depth depends on who last installed them or where the dry-rot damage is. These are just simple cheap hoses. Open your sunroof, poor a cup or two of water down the drain area and listen for the trickle. Determine where the water actually is draining out from..
