I hate it when good people get ripped off by people like that. Avoid him in the future.

Update: Rover leaking a lot less oil. You guys are "rover gods" Thanks for your help. I did have a code come up as PT 3999 and I did search but can not find what it means. I passed emissions but that was on the machine. They did not know what it meant. Any idea?

P.S. I did not let my old mechanic keep wrench I bought to fix leak so it is the first for MY LR tool kit.

Glad to hear the great news. Stay tuned for more fun.

I have the exact same oil leak, as well as a coolant leak..... haven't had a chance to try tightening down the bolts yet, could these problems be related?

Thanks for this thread. I'm going to tighten my bolts too. I blew my radiator 2mins from the top of the ski hill. While I have it out, I may as well do some other fixes. I also witnessed coolant hissing out of that same area on the pic. More precisely, when my rover used to overheat, coolant came from the the point where the bolt enters into the timing chain cover plate (the long bolt goes through the top right side of the water pump, and into the timing front over). If this thread is dead, I'll repost this later. Thanks all the same everyone.
