First outing turning heads

So took the family down to the beach and the river this weekend. As we were cruising down the sand at the beach we noticed a lot of people staring at us. It took a few minutes of wondering before I noticed several trucks stuck in the sand. All with lifts and tires, nice rims, you know the deal. And here I am in my stock Disco just cruising right through. People couldn't figure it out. Same thing happened at the river, I got a lot of admiring looks , or should I say Roxanne did. It all made my wife a total believer now when I tell her it's an awesome ride. (She complained about feeling too Brady Bunch like before, I don't get it either.) The only issue I had the entire weekend was pushing through the sand at higher rpms really ran the temp up pretty quick. I just let it cool and kept going though.

a stock discovery is fun. i've had a good time driving old, overgrown logging roads with inclines that dirt bikes and quad runners had a hard time getting up. probably user error on their part, but still fun for me.

You gotta watch out for that deep sand though. I drove onto this beach once and headed straight into the deepest part. Then I noticed other guys were staying to the beaten path on the high ground. A guy in a tow truck was sitting a few yards away watching whiile I eventually rocked her free in diff lock low. I bet he was cursing my Disco. ;^)
