hey guys i have a question, if you remove the prop shaft will the ird unit n vcu creat problems ...cause i hear that the vcu unit's liquid thickens and causes the ird unit to fail and then give problems to your diff ...i just want to knw if we remove the prop shaft and turn it in to 2wd can i prevent the above problems from occurring? pls help :\

well im new to the land rover field this is my first purchase ..its a 1999 freelander diesel 2.0

While the Freelanders have their own area on the forum, and their own set of problems, the front propshaft issue here seems to be focused on the D2, which had this end on the front shaft with no grease fittings.

Reading through the posts here and I was wonder is someon could post contact information on the companies that rebuild the driveshafts. I have some vibrations coming from the front that I am diagnosing. If I need to rebuild a DS the information would come in handy.
