My sentiments exactly sir, PB blaster and cursing eases the pain.

I moved mine farther up the frame rail where I could get at it, and now use a large napa filter with a nipple on each end.......way easier

Oh, man. I'm not looking forward to dealing with the ff.

I haven't had to deal with mine, but I'll definitely keep this in mind when I do.

As fun as it is, beats changing the whole filter/pump on a D2....

Rust, not a problem where you or I live, but there are parts of the country.....

(I've only done a couple FF on Rovers from the rust belt, not fun at all)

Thank you for pointing that out. I forgot about that issue.

I had to split the nuts on mine the first time I changed it, took me 3 hours total, rusted right in place.
Now I change it once a year and use anti seize on the threads, takes about 15 min.
The only reason I change it once a year is because of the rust, I dont want to spend another 3 hours changing it again in the future.
