I'm going out in a few moments and try to position the washer back in place, with a punch tool. That flat part is on the bottom side, why I could not figure what was going on for a while there. I'll let you guys know. Appreciate the help here.
Guess I need to knock it counter clockwise???

not focused very good, but you can see the bearings came out of the brace.

got the brake disc off, inner bearing and race stayed on, wasn't too bad to tap off.

The washer was a bit ornery, but finally got it to cooperate and go back in the right orientation.

Bearings should see some lube about once a year at least...... them there are bone dry. Kinda looks like a drive shaft U-Joint I recently saw here........

I noticed the washer on one side would kind of turn off where the flat side was so I ordered a set of replacement ones and plan on replacing them once it quits snowing out....

I pulled the right side off and they look pretty good, but I repacked them since I had them off. Got everything apart on the bad side, waiting on new bearings from British Atlantic. (bought the kit). Was a PITA taking that disk off the hub. What's the old saying: don't force it, use a bigger hammer'

Got the new bearings in and it runs so smooth and quiet. Guess it creeps upon you so slow you don't realize the problem till it breaks. Probably my problem with my ABS sensor light coming on , coded to that wheel. Kept having to tap it back down, replaced the cooper bushing, etc., and finally pulled the fuse for the ABS out.

Thanks for everyone's help! Back on the road again as Willie would sing.
