IAC/ Throttle Adjustment

How do I properly adjust the throttle control is there a specific method or just adjust until it stops shutting off while idling?

Hi there,

If you don't have a copy of the RAVE yet, get it. Find a post by WaltNYC, he has links in his signature.

Instructions for mechanically adjusting the throttle linkage are in there.
Idle air control valve or throttle body could be dirty. Linkage could be sticky.

I'd clean the IACV before I'd mess with idle. You can get yourself to a point where you'll need to re-flash your ECU if everything is not set properly. The truth is the ECU should set idle.
