Ignition Amplifier Module Relocation Kit

95 discovery
My distributor went out and Looked around to find a new one without the module on the side on mine didn't have one, I couldn't fine one so I ordered one with the module on the side and instructions on how to install but the instructions had me by pass the module behind the ignition coil the new distributor wires directly from the terminals on the coil and one i got the timing on the distributor set and takes over 20-30 seconds before fire unlike before fire on key turn. Doing research i found that when doing this that the module on the side on the distributor with connected to the module behind the ignition coil should i try this or would that fry the modules?

what did you buy for a distributor ?
the re-location kit you show in your other post was introduced to move the amp module from the side of the dist where it was subjected to too much heat (and often failed) to a mounting bracket on the ignition coil where it would in theory be cooler. when installing this kit there was a "dummy " module mounted on the dist which actually was just a spot to connect the wires......which then went to the amp module now mounted to the coil...

some aftermarket distributors don't use the stock amp module.....that's why I was curious what you had bought ....let's get that working right first..

I'll bet you $1 this is going to be a "Fun with PERTRONIX" thread.
