Ignition Coil 1995

3 Attachment(s)
Hello guys, I recently came across the wiring of the coil/module
Check the pictures, It seems the ignition module got repositioned with the kit. However, some red lead wire is coming off from the driver side engine bay firewall.
Another note, this coil wiring doesn't have a suppressor, is it optional ? Having the suppressor will change the wiring though. Any tips, help or opinion appreciated

Last pic is either the cruise control vacuum line or hood latch cable. Second pic is a ground wire. Any solid black wire is ground on a Rover. Noise suppressor isn't optional. Are you getting allot of noise through the radio? The suppressor is grounded so it seems somebody didn't finish the job or removed it.

Hey ihscouts, thanks for your response. The last pic is actually where the cable in the 2nd pic is coming from. I am getting a lot of static in the radio, yes. I'll be ordering a suppressor.

By any chance anyone have a wiring diagram ? I looked into the RAVE manual but it's not specific about it.

Yes it is, it's in the 95 LHD Electrical Troubleshooting Manuals, MFI V8. Input Z237 in the Find window of Adobe Acrobat. You'll not only find wiring diagrams but also the location and a picture or two.

Best of luck and your welcome.

Thanks a lot !, found my solution to this wiring mayhem. I need to add a male terminal in the coil where everything connects. Like the additional pieces in this part. Coil - Distributor Ignition - Lucas / Girling Brand (RTC5628L Same Fit As Part # RTC5628) - Land Rover ignition from Atlantic British

Hey guys, so after I ordered the noise suppressor and looked up the diagram. I wasn't too please with the cable connection between the amp module and the coil.
I ordered this Amplifier Module Link Lead (Genuine Part # STC1212) - Land Rover ignition from Atlantic British
But the connection to the coil doesn't fit and also it should be one positive and one negative.
If you have a picture of your coil and amp module connection, that would help me a lot.
I also ordered Link Coil Lead (Part # PRC6144) - Land Rover ignition from Atlantic British but as you can see, it's split into two males, this is fine.

Does anybody know what the square box looking thing is below the ignition coil? It is close to the radiator below the ignition coil on my 95 Discovery. I can not make out the numbers on the box.......looks like 95043325 but in front of that is maybe n8 or n0, I can not tell.

So, to clarify the question about what that box is, the orange colored box is an inertia sensor (crash sensor). There is one on the right side too. These are used to trigger the air bags.
