Installed lift, now my truck is not level
Today I finally got ambitious enough to install the used springs I purchased for my 98' D1 a few months ago. I purchased these from a reputable local indy LR repair shop. I was told they were 2" RTE springs, for a D1, and to install the longer springs on the front. Springs appeared to be in very good, almost new condition, I was told they were taken off of a customers Disco who wanted more lift.
All went well with the install, pretty staright froward except for a broken upper rear shock mount. We thought the new rear springs did not seem much longer than stock while both were out and compared to each other, maybe 1/2" difference from old to new. After all was installed, the front end sits a couple of inches higher then the back. I did not do before and after measurements so I do not have the exact difference. The front sits up nicely like I would have expected for a 2" lift, the back sits just a little higher then stock.
Did I screw up and put the wrong springs on the wrong end or maybe the springs are not correct for my application? I will give RTE a yell Monday as I have part numbers for the springs. RR3-2 on front, RR4-2 on the rear. In the mean time I'm hoping somebody has some ideas.
