Leak over rear exhaust manifold

I smelled gas and looked under the hood and saw fuel leaking a drop every ten seconds over the left manifold. I know the throttle linkage is there and the cruise control vacuum thingy, what else is there to leak fuel?

Gonna have to take it apart. I guess, just didn't know if there was anything common...

Fuel Pressure Regulator, injectors, fuel rail, fuel return.........

it was the line from the fpr to the plenum

It had popped off and was leaking drops of fuel. Now, new question, does this mean my FPR is bad? it was a little dribble of gas past the fpr and i assume this means the fpr was bad, because if it doing its job, it should be returning excess fuel to the tank thru the return line.

Not sure I understand exactly what "popped off". "It" isn't descriptive. If "It" is the vacuum line "between the FPR and Plenum" well then it's a defective FPR. If you mean the fuel return line's rubber hose then yes, replace that hose.

At idle the engine is at high vacuum, the FPR diaphragm is pulled off seat and sending fuel back to tank. Vacuum is low at higher rpm (accelerating) the FPR's diaphragm is held closed on it's seat by internal spring pressure, closing the return line off to tank, fuel is now at max pump pressure and available to the injectors.

'It' was the line from the fpr to the rear of the plenum. I assumed since the line had popped off, that was what was leaking, but I am still getting a strong gas smell and a hot start long crank, so I will do some more investigating...
