LS swap questions
 

Hello folks. I have decided to take the plunge. Going with a supercharged 5.3L vortec motor swap into my D1. I am aware of all the issues down stream, etc and will be addressing them as I build. For those who have done this type of swap, did you go with a Chevy trans as well? I was thinking of just building my 22 but am hesitant since I will most likely be pushing something in the realm of 500-600whp/tq. Even build it would seem that the parts would just shatter with that amount of tq. If I do swap to the Chevy trans, do I need to shorten driveshafts? I would assume not but just seeing what folks have done.

If you have done this swap can you share your experiences?

Annnnnd, CARB/BAR officially do not allow swaps in CA any more because of the VW BS. SUPER frustrating.
