MAF sensor O ring

What size O ring goes on the MAF sensor connection to the air filter?

I don't think there is an o-ring on the D1. D2 has one.

i could have sworn there was one on mine also... havent had that apart in a little bit though

Yes it does take an O ring. No idea what size, take the box and MAF down to NAPA and find one that fits. Rover probably gets $10 for the damn thing.

Yup, as HB said, there is an o-ring. I'll see if I can measure my spare when I get home unless someone beats me to it.

Looks like it is 1/8"thick and 3 3/8" outside diameter(which means the inside diameter is 3 1/8").

Hello old thread,

I just replaced my MAF on my 04 D2 and there was no o-ring on what I removed (stock original) and no o-ring in the MAF package. Where should I be looking for it - on which end is it fitted (the input or the output)? Both connectors are sleeve-type connectors and fit tightly. The output sleeve is held in place with a squeezing hose connector, and the input sleeve is part of the air cleaner lid and holds the MAF sensor with clips.

Thanks!

It goes on the MAF input end between sensor and box

I just replaced my old MAF with a new-in-the-box MAF. I called & asked the same thing as I didn't have one on the truck & there was no new one in the box. I was told there's not one on the D1.

Thanks Tom R! An o-ring I purchased at AutoZone fit very nicely in that spot. I took my old MAF in the store and looked for the size in the random-packages-of-o-rings.

Thanks again to everyone on this forum for all your help.
