1. Put in a 180 stat NO A/C on 195.6 deg HIGH
2. A/C ON fans running the correct direction on highway 210 deg STOPPED 219 deg to 221 deg Run was 76 miles at 25 to 70 mph.
3. Found LOTS of water leaks in the body thanks to 3 " rain.

Everything else is spot on running so this leaves the question.
A. Radiator is Blocked some?
B. Water pump getting worn ?
Ordered ALL body seals so that I can replace the headliner and get the clear coat damage fixed on the hood and top of front fenders.
Will take pictures of the restoration.
I bought this as a Yard Truck now it is into a full blown restoration ALMOST like or show cars.

Almost always a cogged rad.. Especially if it sat or you dont know the history of the truck.

The 195 higher temp on highway would also make me think of clogged radiator, becuase you have plenty of air flow, the fan and fan clutch are out of the picture, etc. Most American stats have a 15 degree span (maybe more) from dstart to open to full open, so your stat is doing all it can, open wide, and that would be around 195. Normally, with a good rad this would be in the 180s on the highway. The D1 radiator is large, copper / brass, and can be rodded out easily by an indy rad shop. It cost me $70. Look for a shop that does tractors and cosntruction equipment and carry it in (you pull from truck). It is so small they won't charge you based on MSRP of the vehicle.

That is the problem they look at the car and $$$$ show up QUICK. We have shop in town that is OLD and I think I will try them. I think a flush and fill is a waste of money BUT would it be. This has 98,000 original miles and only 8,000 since 2005. So it has not been driven much at all.
