NAPA Belden Spark Plug Wires

I wish I would have taken pics....my rover had some Leoni spark plugs wires (never heard of them)

Anyways...I knew they needed replacement...so I replaced it with Belden 7mm Prem Wires from NAPA $25 bucks.

For some reason Belden put an extra wire in there for me so I cut it in half to compare with the Leoni....the Belden had about 6x more silicon shielding on it and the connectors snapped in and are much more close tolerance.

My Disco gained back the responsiveness from having bad plugs...I did not gain any hp...just restored it to what it needed to be....so far so good...great quality wire set without a big price

Let us know how they hold up.

$25 7mm Beldon wires will work with most cars but not with your Disco. Because of the heat in the engine compartment will eat them up so plan on replacing them soon.
8 mm silicon wires like STI or Magnacor are really what you will need to install.

I have had a set of Belden wires on my 99 for about 5 years now without any problems (other then a mouse eating one). For being only 7mm I think the quality is better then most of the 8mm sets I have used on other vehicles magnacores included.

That's good to hear, I used them on other vehicles over the years with decent results but I think they build up too much resistance on out hot engines.

I'll have to find the part# for the style I put on my buddys 5.7 gm the they take the same style coil plug 8mm wire and have a ceramic sheild with a tin cover over thev plug to keep heat off them. I used to use a kevlar wrap on my old 454 that would keep the heat off of them, that motor would cook a set of wires in no time being all aluminum like these motors.
