New Owner disco 1

I just recently bought the landy disco 1 and I'm very excited. Its a '92 300tdi and before i make any mistakes i wanted to know how can I tune the car to meet good moderate off roading trips. i wanted to put heavy duty suspension kits and bushings but with the price tags on them, will these purchases make any difference compared to the standard suspension kits available? what size tires can i use if i install a 2" lift and does an aftermarket diff lock do justice compared to the ones that came with the car? Thanks in advance people, much appreciated.

You pick the spring/shock setup based on the load you plan to carry. (Aftermarket bumpers and parts as well as cargo)

265/75 or 235/85 are decent with a little rub on a 2in lift.

The diff lock is only for the transfer case, i believe you're talking about front and rear differential lockers which do make a difference in certain situations.

Keep it stock, go through the entire truck and update its maintenance, then take it off-road and decide if you need to lift it and add xxxxx.

My stock disco has handled anything a lifted toyota with 33's could do - with greater ease too - 'Your trucks boring, it just lumbers over everything' - is what I was told, Haha
