New vs Old Pushrod Pics

Those old ones may be worn but they are MUCH better made. Those rods with pressed in tips like your new ones have a tendency to mushroom and occasionally the tips just completely fail. Probably just fine for a stock motor but they certainly dont stack up against a 1 piece rod. Is there anyone else that makes pushrods for your motor? Also not sure if it applies as I've never been inside a 4.0 (or any Rover engine for that matter) but you may need to do some hunting to find a suitable valve guide to contain the larger diameter of the new pushrod. At $4.75 a piece you cant beat the price but those things just look sub par. Not knocking you or anything like that I just dont see putting cheap pushrods in a motor you've invested so much time and money in. Might try searching for performance push rods or just suck it up and try and find a set of genuine LR push rods. IMO if it came with 1 piece rods, it needs 1 piece rods.

It's funny, the rods do say OE. I'm impressed with British Pacific's packaging, service, and for the most part, their products. Everything was packaged and labeled well. I ordered LOTS of parts and most of them look as good or better than the originals, but of course I'm only posting the "interesting" ones. It's important to remember that Allmakes isn't a manufacturer but a distributor that buys in large volumes from various manufacturers to get the best pricing. They also distribute Exmoor, Lightforce, Terrafirma, Bosch, Corteco, Magneti Marelli, etc.
Unfortunately OEM parts seem to be 5-15x the cost. $100 cam is 500, $20 cam gear is 300, etc.
