Oh - no worries - it comes wacky! It's one of the undocumented features, similar to the rest of the Lucas electronics - but it'll be state of the art, and the security/alarm system on that part alone? Fuh-ged-a-bout it

Why not install a depth finder like you put on your boat...to the underside of your front bumper...

does Lucas make depthfinders? i tihnk you would want it further out ahead then just yoru front bumper. doesnt give you much stopping time when that thing reads high.

I don't think Lucas, does, but Bosch might...and you could always rig a removable arm to extend the unit out a couple feet.
