Normally I wouldn't post this stuff and it's a bit on the hinky side. She won't send pics. Apparently it was a tow behind her parents RV so who knows how many miles on the chassis but only has 37k on the clock. From her story someone put ATF in the master cyl and she's not going to spend the $ to fix. I'm going to check it out tomorrow and I guess someone already claimed the starter and is pulling it Sunday. Let me know what you think, I'm trying to extract info out of her now. I can pull the "smaller" stuff and ship for you all.

For that mileage this has to be a set-up or an idiot. Even if someone did put ATF in the master cylinder why would you part one out with that mileage. If it's legit buy the whole thing and don't let her part it. That's practically brand spankin new. That would be a shame to see a young disco get hacked apart. I'm cringing just thinking about it.

Well, it makes perfect sense if she only got an estimate from a dealer. MC, ABS pump, proportioning valve, flex lines and calipers plus labor would probably be $2-3000, if not more.
She can probably get more for it as parts than selling it outright and if she has a place to store it, and doesn't mind the hassle it makes sense.
It's shame though, if it's in good shape which I expect it is.
Or there could be something shady going on. LOL
If you really want it, take $1000 cash with you and offer it to her. Sometimes cash in hand makes a bigger impression.
