Power steering
Hey all, new owner here, been reading the forums frequently, and have learned allot allready ! Previously all ive owned it jeeps, of the older variety. So picked up my a 99 disco, and love it. Unfortunately the previous owner used power steering fluid in the powersteering. Switched it out with ATF but im thinkin its to little to late. The pump still seems to be strong but the high side hose is now leaking and i have a leak coming out of the TOP of the gearbox where the adjustment bolt flange meets the main gearbox. Highside hose is incoming, looking for suggestions on the flange leak.. can i pull it and put a flat gasket there ? Limited funds on this end so any suggestions will be appreciated !

I would replace the hose clamps with worm clamps and then put some White Shepard Power Steering Stop Leak additive in it. I am not usually a fan of additives but this stuff works great on our power steering system (which are prone to leak). Stopped a really bad leak on mine so I would try it. Sometimes hard to find locally but fairly cheap on Amazon. There are rebuild kits for these but rebuilding a power steering gear box (especially these) is a PITA. Good luck!
