Question about my obd codes.
I've had my 95 Discovery for about 4 months. I really like it. Anyway my obd is showing a 15 and I cannot seem to find out what this code is. Can anyone help me out?

Code Description 15 Fuel Temperature Sensor02 ECM Power Disconnected (displays only until first key on/key off cycle) 29 ECM Memory Check 44 Lambda Sensor A 45 Lambda Sensor B 25 Ignition Misfire 40 Misfire Bank A 50 Misfire Bank B 12 Airflow Meter 21 ECM Tune Select 34 Injector Bank A 36 Injector Bank B 14 Coolant temperature Sensor 17 Throttle Potentiometer 18 Throttle Potentiometer high while Airflow Meter low 19 Throttle Potentiometer low while Airflow Meter high 88 Purge Valve 28 Intake System Air Leak 23 Fuel Supply 48 Stepper Motor 68 Road Speed Sensor 69 Automatic Transmission Gear Switch 59 Fuel Supply or Air Leak Group fault Engine fuel temperature sensor The engine fuel temperature sensor is located in the ambient temperatures.rail on the RH side of the ram housing. The sensor sends fuel temperature data to the ECM, the ECM on receiving the data will adjust the injector open time accordingly to produce good hot starting in high Hope this helps. |
The fuel temp sensor is on the fuel rail. A 19mm wrench will loosen it up. It takes seconds to remove and install another. Remember to disconnect the battery before doing any electrical work. If you need one, I have several good used ones in stock. New, from places like Atlantic British they cost $115. I have them on sale right now for $28 including shipping anywhere in the US with a 60 day warranty.

Locate and remove the old sensor before buying a new one.
It only works during hot starts, like after driving on a hot summer day, stopping for gas and then starting again. If/when bad the engine can be hard to start when hot, but letting the engine cool down a few min can usually remedy this. But if your thermostat is stuck open and your engine never gets fully warmed up it wont be a issue. ;) |
Thanx to both u guys. Information is good. LANDROVER FORUMS ROCKS!
About the used sensor, definitely on payday if things go according to plan. I will get back to you. thanx again fellas. |
I would check local junkyards first, it is located on the drivers side just infront of and under the throttle body.

Rite. I've never had an issue starting my truck. Just trying to remedy the code.
