rear ball joint

Is there a brand to stay away from?
I see AC delco, Moog, raybestus, beck arnley.

probly gonna stay away from Moog I have seen pics of their stuff new cut open their qc is gone to crap ie flat spot and unevenly ground ball, think they are made in Bulgaria now

Also heard delco is made by spicer so leaning toward that since last ones I did on my brothers truck were muck nicer then the Moog we took off that were 1 year old and bad

For a Brand, I've used Lemforder (RHF500110g) without any issues.

Already ordered the AC delco off amazon

Beck Arnley is usually a re-boxed OEM part (Lemforder in this case).

I noticed the pic of the beck had the same green lower boot retainer as the one I removed

Had to reorder the joint got the beck arnly it has a strange clear grease boot yes clear, sealed bag said made in great Britain, so all back together, I cannot see doing this job without a press, I reinstalled the rear A arm 1 piece at a time then bolted in the center with joint super easy this way cannot imagine fighting that whole assembly in in one piece heavy as it is, pic to follow

That is pretty much it for pic, I did not take pics of using the press

DiscoBlanco 10-02-2013 09:17 AM

I am curious on why you needed the press. Was it for bushings?
