ULTRAGAUGE for D1

Says I have no codes. No pending codes either. Is that to be expected for the D1 or is my truck running perfectly. Ha.

Cleared my check engine. Sava taught me how to do service engine and i'll have to get around to ABS sooner or later (fuse or other trickery im sure) Monitored my engine temps a bit. In terms of the D1's capabilities, what are the best sensors to monitor?

oh yeah...alarm comes up immediately saying Cat Bank 1 Sensor 1, Value 8789, Alarm Max 2011. I turned it off.

I have mine set up to monitor the O2 sensors on screen 2. On screen 3 I view all the sensor data excluding the O2 sensors. On screen 1 I left it default.

Coolant temp sensor is most important to me. Set an alarm for it too. Worlds better than the dumb stock gauge. I also watch the MPH for inconsistencies and VSS trouble, MAF g/s for MAF sensor isssues, O2 sensors, intake temp, and TPS.

Don't forget these two gauges...

Huh, I used to have that second gauge...haven't seen it around since I got married a few years back.

I will post in the other UG thread in more explanation.

But the gauges I believe are most important are my fuel trim, O2 sensors (since I've had odd fuel mixture codes lately), average MPG, and engine temperature.

I sure wish I had the ability for oil pressure though, I'm Roverless until I get a day off to pull my pan.

I have no codes, just a pending 1193, it's moody though.

Which other thread Honda?

If I remember correctly I bought this thinking if it wasn't gonna do what I wanted it would be more useful in the D2. So I have that. Damn, I think I'll need a proper code reader.

But, no codes, unreliable gas and no oil info is limiting and slightly deflating. I need to get a better handle on things and I guess compare values, like proper MAF readings and stuff to highlight any problems.

Neither D1 or D2 will have oil PSI on the OBDII port. But it does read codes, and can reset them also I believe. Coolant temp is good thing on D1 or D2. Alarm can make sure SWMBO doesn't ignore it....

Sorry Slang, there's a thread on LRO I think. Idk, I just recently saw one.

One day, that Ultra will save you and you'll love it ;)

Not convinced yet Honda.

My temps are great by the way. Rarely going above 170 on my trip yesterday. After I got home running her for awhile, turned off ignition and she climbed to 185 or so for a few seconds before cooling off. Cooling seems to be in place. BUT,

I noticed again a ticking noise coming from the engine after she drove an hour and I got the P1313 trouble code. Misfiring? Uh oh? Also, the check engine light reappears.
