Um, grumbling from below
96D1 104K currently rebuilding
I'm hearing a light grumbling sound from under the truck. I'm guessing that the propshaft is working its way loose. Maybe related to 2" lift and change of usage. I think its an original so...
My mechanic is real sick so I am going to try and work through this a little myself - hopefully with a little help.
I'll post some facts and pics shortly.

I'm doing what Tom says..."If you order from Advanceutoparts.com you can get the made in the US Neapco u-joints for $12.50
http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...5271118-P_17_R
And the centering kit for $31.
Double Cardan CV Ball Seat Repair Kit by Neapco - Part 7-0081NG - Advance Auto Parts
So $68. Add another u-joint to do the rear, or in case you screw one up, and it's $80.50 and you get free shipping."
So I need the 4. Then on to the differential I guess.
And then I'm fully greaseable or I need to do that bent tip method?

You think you need that centering ball kit on a D1?
While on the underside, check connections and clean up on starter and cables, diffs and transfer case drain & fill (many go back with 85W140, think about it), transfer case reseal inspection plate, both axles pull out banjo bolt that vents the diff oil (clean it and blow out lines), service swivels, inspect front crank seal for leak, tranny fluid and filter change - that enough for Saturday?
