Um... Why are the wheels doing this?!

For some reason i have extensive play in my front wheels. I grab the top of the tire and i can rock it back and forth and it goes probably a good 2-3 inches each way. Lugs arent lose, I cant tell where its moving from! it seems like something going on in the diff? i can do it on both front wheels.

its normal to have rotational play

its the wheel bearings if it is all around. If it is up and down play only then its the swivel ball bearing shims are worn out. You tighten up the bearing but they will come loose again.

U might need to be a bit more specific on the play. Do you mean it rocks the vehicle forward and back or that it goes side to side? Probably looking at wheel bearings like was previously mentioned.

Swivel pin shims don't wear. The bearings wear and the swivel pins/bushes wear.
You can take out the play, when it's slight, by removing shims, but the better way is to rebuild the swivels with a swivel pin rebuild kit.

For the OP, you need to be more exact in your description.

It moves the vehicle from side to side. Im doing a push and pull motion from the top of the wheel and its rocking back and fourth. It doesnt have rotational pull and i just replaced the wheels wheel bearings all four on the front. Il try to get a video.
