Water Pump and Thermostat replacement

1998 Land Rover Disco 1 V8i 4.0L

So while replacing the water pump, I figured I'd go ahead and change the thermostat. everything went great. BUT, when I went to put the thermostat housing back in its place, I noticed I had misplaced the 2 bolts for the housing. I've had no luck finding them.

My problem is I cannot find the dimensions for the bolts anywhere. I also came across a thread the suggested replacing the bolts with studs and capping them with a nut. I actually think that is a great idea, but it did not mention the dimensions of the stud or bolt.

If someone can fill me in on the size and thread count measurement of the bolts I would greatly appreciate it. Its the 2 bolts that attach the thermostat housing to the engine block.

They are SAE and the factory ones are a little longer than 3/4" but I used the 3/4" flange bolts that I found at the hardware store. I'm pretty sure the thread is 5/16-24, I'd have to run by the store and check their thread gauge to be positive though.
