If you reverse the ends (flip the drag link) the only thing that it will change is the direction you will turn the drag link to adjust it's length.
If you centralized the steering box before you removed the drag link, then the amount of adjustment to the drag link to correct the steering wheel offset will be minimal.
Remember to use some ANTI-SEIZE on the threads of the tie-rods and clamp bolts.
Thanks for the feedback!
So I will make sure the steering wheel is straight before starting anything. Does this require removing the front wheels?
Which tie end should I do first?

Just asking questions because I have a history of training for a lightweight bout and getting hit with a heavyweight punch! LOL

Ol trust me I will load it up with some anti-seize paste no doubt

Yes set the steering wheel straight, but most important is to centralize the steering box. Very simple, once the steering wheel is "straight" look on the back of the pitman arm for a notch. Line the notch up to the hole on the steering box. Then either use a drill bit or thread in a M8-1.25 bolt to keep both in the same position (i.e. centralized).

I remove the wheels when I work on steering bits. And in this case it's easier to get to the tie rod on the P-side with the wheel removed. You can start at either end, but to make it a simple job get a ball joint separator or a pickle fork (Autozone Rent-A-Tool) and the tie rod ends will come out.

BUT first try tapping the sides of the steering knuckle and pitman arm with a hammer.
This can free the taper and the tie rods will come right out. You'll get it...Good Luck!

Easy cheater way is crawl under the car, undo both castellated nuts and get the whole bar assembly off. Either take a near perfect total measurement or count the threads exposed on each end, and essentially you do one at a time and try and match up to what the old part looked like (typically easy to tell exposed threads vs ones that were covered by the bar.

Then you just pop the bar back on and put new nuts/pins on. Land rover toolbox has a great video about these

Are we speaking Jeff Sessions Sanctuary City justice or just justice in general? If he's got a birth certificate maybe.

True, I was saying general vanilla justice.
I'm just saying the man has over 1600 post and a bucket load of thanks.
OverRover has always come thru for me

I feel this potentially going in an unforeseen direction before before my parts actually arrive....LOL
Did I mention I had my Rover cherry popped when my D2s forward transmission went out and I drove home 13 miles in reverse. I made it about 1/4 mile from home a police officer asked me what I was doing and said "okay be careful".

Yep, he's jiggy with the Rovahs and it is not just potentially going, it's gone in the wrong direction. Cool the cop let ya go without issue, about time we had a good story there! Can you imagine what he saw **** ending the Rover home.....

You know what separates a butte kisser from a brown noser? Depth perception.

It looks like he's gotten most of his "likes" from you eh.

I know this forum is much nicer and approachable that only Rover forums!

" You know what separates a butte kisser from a brown noser? Depth perception."
I'm totally going to use that on some of the young bucks around here.
LOL
