01 air suspension lift
I was talking to a local mechanic who is a licensed land rover mechanic (only one in Columbus Ga). He was saying that he could lift the rear end by about 3 inches with just hooking it up to his computer and reprograming the air ride. I was wondering how true this is and if it is safe. Also would there need to be any other work done to it if I had that done. I know this will only lift the rear so I would need to do something in the front. Also does anyone happen to know the stock backspacing on the stock 01 se7 wheels?thanks

RE: 01 air suspension lift
Don't do it, his way of lifting it will over inflate the bags, make it ride like a dump truck and cause quick bag failures.
Go to, http://www.rovertym.com/, order Steve's 2" SLS lifting spacer and adjuster, when installed, you can set up the rear to run between 2" and 3"s with less air pressure and a better ride, then you just need to put coils in the front and your set. |
Another question about air suspension.

Hi Mike. Ps; if you lift the front end of a Disco II with air suspension will the rear automatically raise to level the vehicle? |
yes, you can swap it over mine was the same way when i got it. and no the rear will not self adjust you need to add spacers.
