I hear you
today I dumped a whole can of Seafoam slowly found smoke coming out from bank 1 catalytic and also where it connects to the manifold header
I knew those were leaking a bit for sometime now I still don’t think that’s the issue

the bank 1 sensor still reads even after I unplugged it I see readings on the ultraguage I would think the reading would be 0 or no reading

when driving and sensor connected it fluctuates between .01 .2 .7 quite a bit
but so does the bank 2 sensor it goes from .2 to .7 but does not fluctuate as much as bank 1 sensor maybe that’s why there is no codes for that bank

Oh, an exhaust leak at the manifold could surely be the problem.

Have no idea why the 02 would still be reading while unplugged, that's weird, especially if it's in closed loop (warmed up to operating temps).

Another question though...is your engine SAI? Thought maybe one of the SAI manifolds check valves might be leaking and letting in oxygen?

I got the new exhaust on order however I don’t think that’s the cause as I watch bank 2 sensor it bounces from .04 to .7
the bank 1 stays between .4 to .7

im thinking it’s a damaged wire going to that bank 2 sensor

are the o2 wires do they run under the intake ?
anyone know ?

Not under the intake but behind it on the firewall.

Ok found the issue
after looking at the orange plug where o2 connects to some wires had little nics so I removed the sai piping to have more access cut the plug out and extended the wires another 10 inches reconnected them to a male plug from a spare o2 rear sensor routed the wires away from exhaust and secured
went for a hour drive problem fixed

I would call that a WIN!!!

If you want to keep that connector/wires from being cooked again get a small bit of Heat Sleeve or Cool Tube.
You will not need much, but get a rough outside measurement of the connector so you can get the right size.

Something like this (the non Velco is cheaper just SEARCH) > https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-350138-1/overview/

Advance, AutoZone, Napa, etc also sell this heat barrier.
